2004 NJ BBQ Hotel Planning (Update 20)

OK, me and the Fat Man's plans are made. We're leaving Detroit Friday the 30th at around 8:00pm and driving overnight, so we'll arrive in Jersey around the butt-crack of dawn on Saturday.

Since you lot will probably have visions of sugar plumbs dancing through your heads I figure I'd park in the Summerfield's parking lot and catch a few zz's in the car. So when those of you staying there wake up, poke yer head out and look around for a red Chevy TrailBlazer with 2 chubby guys spooning in the back and come and wake us up (preferably before taking pictures) [img]confused.gif[/img]

I think you can get better rates through the hotel's website. Last time I checked, the rates were about $30-40 cheaper through their site but you had to prepay and if you cancel, it's non-refundable.

BTW, I'll be making reservations tonight for Summerfield. Sue and I will probably leave Dayton, OH around 6pm Friday night and hit the road. It's about an 8 hour drive (maybe longer since I have to watch the speeding after last week's ticket), so we should get in around 2-3am. Of course, after we check in, we'll hit the lounge first (if they have one) to see who's boozin' already. Just make sure someone gives us a wakeup call Saturday morning.

We are looking into renting a vehicle this week for the drive as we are making the trip into a full vacation.
Haven't decided if we are going to make the BBQ the first stop or the last over the time I hope to take off.

If it is the first, we will most likely leave Thursday Morning and get in late that night. See some sights Friday, and then the BBQ Saturday. Otherwise we will just be pulling in probably Friday night and see sights Sunday before heading back to Nashville.

Probablyl going to end up staying in the Courtyard other than the Summerfield (too many Spawnners accumulating there [img]wink.gif[/img] )

here in sweden you can get to drink light beer when your 16 they are about 2,8 % but when your 18 you can drink what the hell you want but you cang enter the "systembolaget" in other words the liqour store untill your 20. But hey go to a pub and drink as much you want when u hit 18 that you cna do .. [img]wink.gif[/img]
